Justin Bieber, Nelly Furtado to perform at 2012 MMVAs

Teen pop star Justin Bieber, his protégé Carly Rae Jepsen, pop singer Nelly Furtado (pictured) and emo band Marianas Trench will perform at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards. The pop stars join a line-up that includes Katy Perry and hosts LMFAO.

The award ceremony will take place at MuchMusic's Toronto headquarters on June 17. Wristbands for the show will be handed out on June 8 at 6 p.m.

"I’m so excited to be coming back home for this year’s MMVAs," Bieber in a statement. "It’s an honour to be nominated and performing. I can’t wait!"

The 18-year-old recently announced a 45-date North American tour in support of his forthcoming studio album Believe.

Furtado's appearance at the ceremony will mark her second awards show performance this year. She previously performed her single "Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)" at the Billboard Music Awards. Her fifth studio album, The Spirit Indestructible, is due out on September 18.
