Kings of Leon's Jared Followill engaged

Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill is engaged to his 21-year-old model girlfriend Martha Patterson, NME reports.

The 25-year-old has been dating Patterson for a few months and reportedly popped the question on April 11.

After gossip sits began reporting the news, Followill took to Twitter to confirm the news. "It's true! I'm engaged!" he wrote. "CANNOT wait to finally lose my virginity."

The engagement is a bit of good news for the Tennessee rock group, which cancelled their 2011 tour amidst rumours of turmoil. They're reportedly due to begin recording a new album this year.
