M.I.A. joins Jay-Z's Roc Nation roster
M.I.A. has signed with Jay-Z's management company Roc Nation, the company announced on Thursday (May 24). The "Paper Planes" performer joins a roster that includes pop stars Rihanna, Shakira and Santigold, Toronto R&B singer Melanie Fiona, producer Mark Ronson, songwriter Ester Dean and rappers Wale and Meek Mill.
"The nation just keeps on growing," the company tweeted in an announcement.
"Welcome home M.I.A.," Rihanna added.
M.I.A. is prepping her fourth studio album Matangi, and is expected to release an epic, all-female rap remix to her recent single "Bad Girls" featuring guest verses from Missy Elliott, Azealia Banks and Rye Rye, her protégé.
