Pete Doherty using Amy Winehouse lyrics on next album

British rocker Pete Doherty's next solo album will feature a song with lyrics penned by the late Amy Winehouse.

In an interview with NME, the ex-Libertines frontman said the record will feature a duet with singer Suzi Martin called "Bird Cage" with lyrics written by Winehouse. Additionally, an acoustic version of the song will also be played over the credits of his new film Confession of a Child of the Century. The song reportedly contains the lyric, "We could never be together, I'm too pretty, you're too clever."

The album, which is Doherty's second solo effort, is being produced by Adem Hilmi. "We've been cracking on. I've got a hard drive full of new songs and a few of them have taken more of a definite shape," he told the mag. "Things that were ad libs and off the cuff, we're putting more into traditional song structure."
