Serena Williams debuts rap song
Tennis star Serena Williams has become the latest pro-athlete to cross over into the hip-hop world.
On Friday (May 11), gossip site TMZ posted a one-minute clip from her debut single, which was apparently recorded last year at the Florida studio B Major Music Group, which is owned by Baltimore Ravens player Bryant McKinnie.
Williams fills her lyrics with plenty of tennis references, such as: "I ball hard, no tennis racket/ I can see these haters through my Gucci glasses/ I make hits like batting practice/ They be like, Serena, is you really rappin'?"
"I cook the track up like a frozen pizza, beats so crazy it might blow your speakers," she raps later on the track. "I ain't ever been a loser/ and I'm always on top/ roofer."
