Whitney Houston's family to star in reality series
The family of late singer Whitney Houston will star in an upcoming reality series to air on U.S. cable network Lifetime.
The Houston Family Chronicles will follow the pop diva's sister-in-law and estate manager Pat Houston, brother Gary, mother Cissy and daughter Bobbi Kristina as they move on from her death.
Pat Houston said in a statement that she's been working on an unscripted project for the past few years.
"The unexpected passing of Whitney certainly affects the direction of the show," she said. "However, it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward."
The 10-episode hour-long series will debut later this year. "The tragic loss of Whitney Houston left a void in the hearts of people all over the world, but certainly none more so than her beloved family," said Lifetime executive vice-president Rob Sharenow. "In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love and grow."

Oooooo... just what everyone's been waiting for. Ten heart wrenching episodes of the Houston clan reminiscing, getting teary eyed, whining about how good a daughter/sister/mother Witney was. Prepare the violin strings and the tissue box. This is gonna be REALLY exciting. Guess she didn't leave any of 'em enough $$$ in her estate so they need this gig to tide themselves over. Wonder if Bobby Brown is going to make a cameo appearance... heyyy... he needs some money too !! Hopefully I don't stumble channel surf on to this crap.

It's so disgusting that her family is trying to profit from her death. I don't even like whitney houston, and yet needed to comment on how disturbing this really is.
