Beyonce, Steven Tyler cast in animated movie

Beyonce, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Pitbull have joined the cast of a new animated short film being produced by 20th Century Fox, Billboard reports.

Entitled Epic, the film will tell the story of teenage girl that is transported into another universe, which she then has to save in order to save the real world. The film will be directed by Ice Age director Chris Wedge and also star Hunger Games' Josh Hutcherson, Jason Sudeikis, Aziz Ansari, Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried and Johnny Knoxville.

Beyonce will voice a character called Queen Tara, Pitbull will play Bufo, and Steven Tyler's character is called Nim Galuu. It's Beyonce's first film since the 2009 thriller Obsessed and her first since giving birth to her daughter with husband Jay-Z earlier this year. She is also slated to star in director Clint Eastwood's remake of A Star Is Born.
