Cher developing Broadway musical about her life
Cher is developing a Broadway musical based on her life, the star revealed in a series of tweets earlier this week.
Noting that it's been a "very slow process," Cher said that the production would be about "my life with my music" and feature three actresses playing her at various stages of her career: her years with former husband and performing partner Sonny Bono, the post-Sonny and Cher years up to her "Believe" tour in the late 1990s, and finally her life up to now.
Each version of Cher will interact with one another throughout the show. She also said that she might play the "old Cher," a character that gives advice to the younger Chers, and is helping write the script because, as she put it, "i was there & know stories that no1 knows but me !"
"I hope it happens," she added.
Cher is also working on a new album that she intends to release before the end of the year. It will be her first since 2002's Living Proof.
