Chris Brown apologizes to Cher over hacked tweets

Chris Brown 1

Chris Brown has been caught up in a Twitter drama with Cher. On Thursday night (June 7), the R&B star's account was apparently hacked and the culprit took aim at the outspoken pop legend.

"That damn GRANNY b**** CHER needs to keep her mouth SHUTTTT about her opinion against obama !!! smh she needs a beating," read one of the tweets.

Cher's followers were swift to alert her to the put-down. One person asked her how she felt about the "beating" comment and she replied, "I don't know. Is that something he's particularly good at?"

For his part, Brown quickly took to the site to clear things up and apologize. "@cher if this is your real twitter I would like to say that some of ur fans like @cherarmy1 are spreading false accusations," he wrote. "I have the utmost respect for u as an artist! @cher. Just to clear this up."

"Thanks Chris, Appreciate The Sentiment!" she replied. "As artist I'm Always Impressed by u! No war! no throw 'n Shade! Just peace Goin C Pres. 2morrow, Am excited (sic)."
