Chris Brown talks to police after alleged bar brawl

R&B singer Chris Brown has spoken with police about a melee that allegedly erupted between his entourage and the entourage of Drake in a New York City nightclub.

According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say that Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, has given the NYPD "physical evidence" that allegedly proves the Toronto MC and rapper Meek Mill were involved in instigating a violent brawl at New York's W.i.P. nightclub early Thursday (June 14) morning.

Brown is considered a "witness and a victim" but neither Brown or Drake are apparently suspects.

Drake is apparently cooperating with police but has denied involvement in the incident in a statement issued by his reps. "Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P." the statement read. "He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."

The instigator and reason for the fight has been the subject of much specluation, but the latest news (courtesy of anonymous sources, of course) is that the culprit might be someone from Brown's camp, according to TMZ.

Following the fight, part of which was captured on video and posted online, Chris Brown uploaded an Instagram photo of himself with a gash in his chin but has since removed it.
