Rihanna to sit down for Oprah Winfrey interview

Rihanna will appear on an upcoming episode of Oprah Winfrey's OWN series Oprah's Next Chapter, the talk show queen confirmed via Twitter.

She added that the pop star is due to appear on the show in August but didn't give an exact air date. It's expected that Rihanna will candidly discuss her relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and her recent hospitalization for influenza.

Winfrey has landed several high-profile interviews lately. She's sat down with Michael Jackson's daugther Paris Jackson, the entire Kardashian family and conducted the first interview with Whitney Houston's daugther Bobbi Kristina following the pop diva's death earlier this year.
