Adam Lambert in talks to become "Idol" judge?
A rumour is going around that Adam Lambert is in talks with the producers of American Idol to join the judging panel for the singing competition's 12th season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (via E! Online), the season eight runner-up is being wooed by producers as part of a potential shake-up. None of the current judges, Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, have signed on for the next season and Lopez herself raised doubts of her return when she told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she misses doing other things.
"They have been talking about Adam for over a month," a unnamed source told E! "He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it's like to be on the receiving end of the judges' comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can't go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him."
Although Lambert lost the competition to Kris Allen, he has since become a bigger star. His debut album Trespassing debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release in May and he recently fronted the legendary rock band Queen during a performance in the Ukraine.
