Beyoncé to direct documentary about her life
Beyoncé and her agents at ICM have been shopping a documentary about her life and career around Hollywood, The Los Angeles Times reports.
An anonymous source close to the project said the film will mix concert footage with personal confessional interviews. In addition to featuring in the doc, Beyoncé will also serve as director and producer. About 20 minutes of footage has been shown to distributors.
Potential topics to be covered in the film could be the making of the pop star's 2011 studio album 4, the birth of her first child with husband Jay-Z and her departure from her father Matthew Knowles' management company.
The film is one of a handful cinematic projects the star is working on. She's slated to star in a remake of the musical A Star Is Born and will do voice work in the animated film Epic. Last year she appeared in the short TV documentary Beyoncé: Year of 4, which aired on MTV.
