Drake to executive produce Aaliyah album?

Drake 3

Drake will reportedly executive produce a forthcoming posthumous Aaliyah album and debut a new single featuring the late R&B singer at an upcoming concert.

HipHopDX reports that a source close to the Toronto MC will helm the LP but offered no other details of the release, which has been rumoured to be in the works for months.

Earlier this year, producer Jeffrey "J. Dub" Walker tweeted that an unreleased Aaliyah song "Steady Ground" would be included on a new album but the late star's brother swiftly denied that posthumous record was in the works.

Drake, who has a tattoo of Aaliyah on his back, previously sampled her song "At Your Best (You Are Love)" for his song "Unforgettable."

The source added that Drake will perform a new single featuring Aaliyah's vocals at his OVO Festival at Toronto's Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on August 5.
