Lady Gaga's "Vogue" Photoshop job exposed
A behind-the-scenes video of Lady Gaga's cover shoot for the September 2012 issue of Vogue magazine has revealed how much airbrushing was required to give the pop star an extremely tiny waist.
In the image, shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, the "Born This Way" singer is looking lanky and svelte in a purple Marc Jacobs dress. However, the video footage is decidely less flattering. In addition to shrinking her figure, it shows how much the re-touchers altered her skin tone and pumped up the dress.
In a recent blog post on her website, the star admitted to "massive struggles with my body image" in the past year.

oh the irony. The 'Born This Way' singer Gaga, cares about her image? Be Yourself and who cares!!

seriously... did anyone think she actually looks like that? I mean HELLO, look at where her knees would be in the dress... they are roughly the same width as her neck! Sadly though the focus should be on how much work the DRESS needed to look good. I don't think there's anything wrong with GaGa's body... that dress though.. eeesh!

This article implies photo shopping was necessary. Instead of "how much airbrushing was needed ... for that tiny waist" it should read 'to distort her already small figure.'
Photoshopping is out of hand, and requires change, not excuse.

Oh really?? All this photoshopping is doing is making everyone who has their photo published looks like the same person. Not attractive at all.

The cover that is photoshopped looks grotesque. The original photo of her looks a lot better. What is wrong with the fashion world????

The screenshot that is up is not even of the pose on the cover. This article is full of mean spirited undertones. It's almost like the writer is glad that Lady Gaga does not have a waist that small. I doubt Lady Gaga is ordering Vogue Magazine to make her look that small. So lay off her.
