Taylor Swift streams lead single from "Red" album

Taylor Swift 5

Taylor Swift has posted a song off her forthcoming fourth studio album online. The song is a break-up anthem entitled "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and was produced by pop hitmaker Max Martin.

The track will be included on her next album Red, which is due out on October 22. In a webcast with fans, the country-pop star said the song is about "my lovely ex-boyfriend."

"I wrote so many songs for the album that it was hard to choose the ones that would make it," she said, adding that she whittled the tracklisting down to 16 from more than 30 potential songs.

She also said that Red features more collaborations with other songwriters such as Ed Sheeran, with whom she duets with on one of the album's tracks.
