Rihanna dropped from Nivea campaign
The new top executive at Nivea isn't a huge fan of Rihanna. Last year, the "We Found Love" singer became the face of the skincare brand, which also sponsored her 2011 tour, but she's since been dropped on account of her risque image.
"Rihanna is a no go," Stefan Heidenreich, the head of Nivea’s parent company Beiersdorf, said in an interview with the German media. "I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna. Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability."
He went on to say that commercials starring Rihanna should never have aired.
Apparently the feeling is mutual. On Tuesday (August 7), Rihanna tweeted a photo of Heidenreich with the words "no caption necessary."
