"Watch The Throne" doc to premiere at TIFF?
A documentary about the recording process behind Kanye West and Jay-Z's collaborative album Watch The Throne will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, the New York Daily News reports.
A source told the paper that the doc is being produced by Will and Jada Pink Smith's production company, Overbrook Entertainment. The Smiths will reportedly attend the screening however neither rapper is confirmed to attend at this point.
Part of the documentary, which was directed by Robert Lopuski, found its way online last year but was removed. The footage surfaced again earlier this month. In it, cameras follow Jay-Z and West as they work on the album during a recording session Australian mansion that is attended by actor Russell Crowe.
Last year, Jay-Z announced a partnership with Overbrook to produce a feature film based on the musical Annie starring the Smiths' daughter Willow in the lead role.
