Elton John and Madonna bury the hatchet
Elton John and Madonna have been hurling catty insults at each other for the better part of 2012. Last month, for example, John generated headlines by likening the Material Girl's style to that of a "fairground stripper" to which the pop diva responded by forgiving her "fan" for the off-colour remarks.
Now, the two have apparently made up. According to The Sun, the pop icons ran into each other at the swanky La Petite Maison restaurant in Nice, France last week where they reportedly engaged in a jovial exchange before hugging each other.
"Elton goes to the Petite Maison for dinner fairly regularly as it’s near his villa in Mont Boron," an unnamed insider told the paper. "But Madonna was also there for a bite before her show, which was down the road and didn’t start until around 10.30pm... Just as he was leaving, he went over to talk to Madonna and they were laughing and smiling."
The anonymous source added: "They even hugged each other."
