Lana Del Rey wants to work in film

Lana Del Rey is eyeing a career in film. In an interview with Vogue Australia that she's working on a film script and enjoying the process so much that she'd like to linger in the film world for a while.

"When I was starting, I had a vision of being a writer for film and that's what I am doing now. I'm so happy," she told the magazine. "Hopefully I will branch into film work and stay there. That will be my happy place. I'd like to stay in one place for a long time."

The up-and-coming pop star's debut album, Born to Die, came out in January and she has since released a handful of cinematic music videos for singles such as "Blue Jeans" and "National Anthem."
