Maya Rudolph performs Prince tribute concert

Maya Rudolph

The purifying waters of Lake Minnetonka have overcome Maya Rudolph.

Last night (September 20), the Saturday Night alumni joined The Roots on stage in Brooklyn to perform a tribute concert to Prince and will hit the stage again tonight for a second show dedicated to the Purple One with the hip-hop group at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.

Rudolph, who is the daughter of singer Minnie Ripperton, recently appeared on the chat show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform a rendition of Prince's controversial single "Darling Nikki" with the Roots and and her friend Gretchen Lieberum. The actress also told Fallon that she and Lieberum were in a band together called SuperSauce during college at UC Santa Cruz.
