James Blunt retires from music industry
Singer James Blunt is quitting the music industry.
The 38-year-old, who has sold 18 million albums worldwide since breaking through in 2005 with this album Back To Bedlam and ballad "You're Beautiful," has decided to keep a low profile since wrapping up a tour in support of his 2010 album Some Kind of Trouble.
"I just want to take some time out for myself. I haven’t got any plans to do more songwriting," he said in an interview with the Daily Mail. "I have been chilling out since I finished my world tour and I’ve spent a lot of time in Ibiza, where I have a villa."
Blunt has released three studio albums and received five Grammy nominations for Bedlam and "You're Beautiful" in 2007. Earlier this year, he made headlines as one of the alleged celebrity victims of the News International phone hacking scandal.
