Lady Gaga to release "ARTPOP" as double LP?

Lady Gaga 7

Lady Gaga may split her next studio album ARTPOP into two parts. According to Idolator, the pop star said in a chat with fans on her website that she's considering dividing her third LP into commercial and "experimental" volumes to be released six months apart.

"Sort of thinking that VOL.1 should have all the commercial songs, and then save the experimental material. But to be honest even the experimental stuff is catchy. VOL.1 is a bit more modern," she said.

The "Born This Way" singer also elaborated on her collaboration with New York MC Azealia Banks, which she said will have a gay Chicago trap rap sound. "[One song] is a hip-hop/j-pop/pop song. And it’s not hip-hop in the way you know, it’s more underground chicago gay club trap and it’s very diffrent from Azealia Banks' music because she’s more 90′s house," she explained.

Gaga previously confirmed via Twitter that the album will include a sequel to "Telephone," her 2010 single that featured Beyoncé.
