New Rage Against the Machine album in the works?

Rage Against the Machine

Rage Against the Machine might be working on their first new studio album in more than a decade.

Gossip site TMZ ran into bassist Tim Commerford at a cafe in Malibu, California and asked him if the band had anything in the works and his response was a coy, "Maybe... maybe."

If the rap-rock stalwarts have in fact returned to the studio, it would be their first album since 2000's Renegades.

The band broke up in 2000 after front man Zach del Rocha (pictured, above left) departed the group. The other members formed Audioslave with Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell.

They later reunited with De la Rocha in 2007 to tour but the members have never confirmed whether or not another album is going to happen.
