School for the deaf disqualified from Taylor Swift contest
Taylor Swift seems to have foiled an Internet prank perpetrated by trolls 4chan and Reddit.
Gawker reports that users on both sites voted en masse for the Horace Mann School for the Deaf in Allston, Massachusetts to win a concert headlined by the country pop star plus US $10,000 in a Facebook contest.
Although the school was leading the top five frontrunners by a huge margin, Swift and the contest's sponsors from Papa John's and textbook rental company Chegg didn't find the joke funny and disqualified the school.
Instead, the star personally donated US $10,000 to the school, which was matched by the two sponors as well as Cover Girl and American Greetings. Additionally, VH1's Save the Music program donated $10,000 in instruments to Horace Mann's music program and Swift will give every student a ticket to her next local show, according to The Boston Globe.
"Are we the winner?" principal Jeremiah Ford told the paper."Absolutely."

"Swift will give every ticket a student...." Huh? Somebody didn't proof-read his story before publishing!
