Producer denies Adele recorded "Skyfall" in 10 minutes

Adele Skyfall

Producer Paul Epworth has denied Adele recorded the vocals for Skyfall theme song in only 10 minutes.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday (December 18), he said his remarks in an interview for Hollywood.com were taken out of context and that she laid down a draft of the vocals in 10 minutes, not the final version.

"Ok ok. Can I clarify this... Adele didn't record her final Skyfall vocal in 10 minutes," he tweeted. "We cut the first draft of the verse and chorus. It took us a while to hone the track into the end result. Don't you just love it when things are taken out of context."

In an interview published on Hollywood.com last week, Epworth said: "Within 10 minutes, she put down most of the vocals. She had the lyrics ready in her head when she drove over. It was the most absurd thing. She's fast, but it was really quite phenomenal."
