Lady Gaga confirms jazz album
Lady Gaga has confirmed plans to record a jazz album with crooner Tony Bennett.
"And here's me and my handsome date, I simply cannot wait for our album together, he's my darling!" she tweeted, along with a photo of herself and Bennett, on Wednesday (Jan. 23).
Bennett previously discussed the project last year, saying that the album will be comprised of covers by an "underrated composer" and feature swing band arrangements.
"I can't mention the composer because I don't want anybody to do it before we do it, but there's a great composer that's very underrated, very famous, but not as famous as Gershwin or Porter," he told Rolling Stone. "But he did as many hit songs as anybody, and so we're gonna do a big swinging album."
No release date has been set for the collaborative album.
In December, Gaga released a jazz version of her single "You and I" that she recorded with trumpeter Brian Newman.

Incorrect use of the word comprise in paragraph three. The phrase "...the album will be comprised of covers..." should be written "...the album will comprise covers...".
