Lana Del Rey begins work on new album
Lana Del Rey has returned to the recording studio to begin work on her third studio album, The Daily Mail reports (via Factmag).
The British newspaper published photos of the New York singer-songwriter surrounded by her writers and producers in a Los Angeles studio including Rick Nowells, a collaborator on her 2012 breakthrough album Born To Die.
The "Video Games" singer claimed in a recent Vogue magazine interview that she didn't want to write another album. "I don’t think I’ll write another record," she said. "What would I say? I feel like everything I wanted to say, I’ve said already."
The star also told The Daily Mail that she hopes to concentrate on charity work in the year ahead. "Helping others now feels like it's my turn to give something back. I want to become a sort of Angelina Jolie," she explained. "Like her, I think fame is nothing in itself, but it can be put to good use - by using it to generate money for charity for example."
