Nicks, Fogerty join Grohl's 'Sound City' group
Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks (pictured) and John Fogerty are among the musicians that have joined Dave Grohl's Sound City Players band.
The Foo Fighters main man formed the group for a performance to mark the premiere of his documentary about Sound City Studios at the Sundance Film Festival later this month.
In addition to Nicks and Fogerty, the band includes Grohl's former Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, his Foo Fighters cohorts Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Alain Johannes, producer Chris Goss, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, Fear lead singer Lee Ving, Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk, and The Wallflowers’ Rami Jaffee.
All of the musicians in the band appear in Sound City and many are also included on the soundtrack, which is due out on March 12.
The Sound City Players are due to perform on January 18 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
