Bieber: 'Patrick Carney should be slapped around'
Justin Bieber has offered a cheeky riposte to Patrick Carney after the The Black Keys drummer brushed off a question about the Canadian pop star's Grammy Awards snub.
After Sunday night's (February 10) awards gala, a reporter for TMZ asked the rocker for his thoughts on why Bieber failed to secure a nomination this year. "He's rich, right?" Carney, whose band picked up three Grammys this year, replied. "Grammys are for like music, not for money... and he's making a lot of money. He should be happy."
"The Black Keys drummer should be slapped around haha," the 18-year-old tweeted in response on Tuesday (February 12).
Despite the Grammy shut out, Bieber is having a busy week. His album Believe Acoustic debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart, he pulled double duty as the host and musical guest on late-night sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, and teased a new song called "You Want Me" in a video message to fans.

Sh.., Doesn't this kid have PR people working for him? Give us a break kid.........your audience are little girls 12 - 13 maybe 14 yrs of age. If you had real talent - dressed and acted with some class - and most importantly hire some good PR people who have the balls to tell it the way it is and see it the way it is - and of course fix your hair - listen to and obey your people- and stop wearing your pants with your crotch half way down to your knees..........and stop thinking you're the best there is - it shows and people don't like it - there's really quite a few who are so much better than you.

Patrick Carney is right...Justin Bieber is a corporate puppet making "musuck" for little girls who don't know any better.
Music, the real thing, is time, sweat and blood and sometimes not financially fruitful but in the end it is the integrity of the musicians and the compositions that count. Those are the things that stand the test of time. Bieber, your time is running out.

now. the first comment is so wrong in so many ways. im 18 years old and have been a belieber since '09. so, your comment saying his audiences are "little girls 12 - 13 maybe 14 yrs of age" is so wrong. I know many other people my age men and womens who are also huge fans of Justin. And telling him how he should wear his pants is like telling someone how to wear a shirt. He can wear his pants whatever way he likes, its his decision! There may be people who are better then him but considering he is only 18 years old he is one of the most sucsessful young artists ever. He has had 5 number 1 albums before the age of 19.

...and who are the Black Keys - in particular - the drummer?! Does this dude visit sick children in hospitals just hours before his shows? Does he make a point of bringing his family on tour with him? Does he value his fans (whether they're 12 or 32) as much as Justin Bieber does? Justin is the hardest working young man out there...he's setting trends on a daily basis and none of these things I have mentioned involve doing it for money. He is the richest kid out there because of the dedicated family and fans that he has...he hasn't forgotten where he came from and he is always giving back. He is the happiest when he's with his little brother and sister - you can see that - and not the money that he makes.

So belieber you said his audience is not 14 year old little girls. You are 18 now and you started liking him in 09, that would make you 14 when you started liking him. You proved your own argument wrong. Why do you think he was booed at the grey cup? Why do you think so many musicians, REAL musicians hate him? He has no talent that is quantifiable except his money and his following of just turned teen little girls. You like him and that's fine but don't try to justify it or tell someone else their observations are wrong, especially when you support their point of view in your own post with your attempt at an argument. The fact that you did not realize that when you typed it and the fact you like beeber shows what kind of intelligence the young music listening public actually has today. And yes I intentionally spelled beeber wrong because I have even less respect and regard for this talentless hack than Patrick Carney does.

boober is a vain, talentless, classless - oh, and ugly - ass. boober fans have no idea of what real talent or music is. boohoo.

The Black Keys have made the same album every year for close to 10 years, so they're not exactly The Beatles.

TO THE PERSON WHO WROTE now. the first comment is so wrong.......;
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MARKETING? BETTER STAY IN THE KITCHEN ......I THINK
Posted by: Steve | Feb 12, 2013 6:22:15 PM
Since when are the Grammy Awards not about money? If the Black Keys think they are sailing on a different ship than Beiber, they are wrong - they're basically Nickelback without the hits. Plus, they act like they should be the most popular band in the world (and are really whiny that they aren't).

Justin Bieber is the one that should be slapped around! I CANNOT wait for the day that Bieber becomes irrelevant and he is NEVER heard from ever again!
Posted by: Catherine Henderson | Feb 12, 2013 6:27:42 PM
It's obvious we have a lot of tongue chewing.......umm...umm...umms here
Why are the serious replying? Come on guys...let's get out of here.

The only reason Boober is making the money he does is because he's been marketed to appeal to kids. I can't imagine what real musicians who have worked at their craft for years have to think about this "musician" and haven't received the return that they deserve. He has some nerve criticizing an artist who deserved a Grammy, he's just pissed because the "real" musicians where at the Grammys, and he was deservedly left out. It's good to see the the musicians leave this twit out of these awards.

The only thing I can think of to say about Bieber is that he is not on welfare like his mother was and is making money to pay his own way, regardless of how little talent he has. I see so many useless parasites with their faces in the taxpayer's trough that it makes me sick. At least he hasen't gotten any stupid brainless little whores pregnant living off the back of hard working taxpayers. And that is all that is good about him. Oh yeah, and he is employees a bunch of parasites who are also not living off of the taxpayer, so you see, there is some good in his corner.

Can someone please explain to me what a "real" musician is and what "real" music is? 'Cause last time I checked music, in whatever form, is still indeed music and a person who makes music is referred to as a musician. He is not a tool because he didn't need anything except his talent, his manager, and his mom in the beginning to get him anywhere. Also saying his fans are all "12" year olds is irrelevant considering he has 34 million followers on twitter and most 12 year olds don't even have a twitter account. He will be here for a long time and he will be remembered in years to come while the rest of us die out. Remember that.

Okay, so its obvious people have issues with beiber, and also issues with the beiber fans. Who is beiber to say who should and shoudn't be slapped around. That was a bit of a low blow on his part. But at the same time, didn't all musicians make arrogant comments at one point? Patrick Carney had a point about the money thing... it isnt suppose to be about the money. its suppose to be about how amazing the music was and that those arists deserved those grammys for the music they made. But the beiber fans are right about one thing, he has been very successful for a kid whos under 19. Did he put in the "blood, sweat and effort" into his career? thats questionable to most people. But people see effort in diffrent ways. He didnt come from the life of the getto, but he certainly didnt come from a palace. So his "efforts" could have been huge to him, but to people who have had it harder, they see his life as a peice of cake. It just all depends on the person. I am neither a beiber fan, or a beiber hater. i dont judge him from where he came from or how he got to where he is. i just judge him on how he makes his choices. this was a bad choice of words on his part, it has nothing to do with jealousy. A person cant be jealous of somthing they dont want. it just has to do with the fact that hes done good things and bad things that make people judge him for who he is. whether he's "fake" or not, dosnt matter. it just matters what he's going to do with insultes that people through at him. People can say all kinds of crap about him, but its his choice in how he chooses to deal with it. Acting like this was immature. but at the same time he's 18, hes still going to be a kid, even if he trys to act like hes older. So judge him all you like, but in the endi t dosnt matter what he said or how much money he makes. it just matters how he's going to handle hisproblems and how hil act on them. He loses and gains fans everyday, its your choice on whether your going to be one of them. Or thef act that you were on in the first place.

The top comments are trash, he's one of the hardest working persons on earth! His fanbase isn't "little girls", they range from lets say 2-80's?! Justin's really amazingly talented, and has worked very hard to be where he is and is not what many of you think! He has a huge heart and once said "I don't care if my fans sneak into my M&G`s, because i don`t want their money, all i want is their happiness!``And who the heck are the Black Keys. Justins more mature than them and is obviusly more famous! So before you go around saying things that are absolutely nonsense, think to yourself is this really true and nessacary!

look, the kid has talent, no doubt, he's just slowly turning into a trainwreck. He does have PR people who are constantly pulling his ass out of the fire and i'd like to know what we don't hear. He's now hanging with some sketchy characters and becoming a curious teen, which he's entitled to. He's gonna do more than smoke weed, he's gonna drink... He's gonna get in trouble... BUT HE HAS TALENT, im a 35 year old straight married man... im not jealous, he has more musical talent that most of the world, i don't like the kid, but hes talented.
